It may take about 25 minutes to get through the corn field and town. It all depends how fast you walk. The trail is covered with hay so it is not a muddy walk. The Fear Factory Story:For many years the old factory connected to the Miramichi Leader building has been sitting in utter abandonment, or has it? Local residents have often reported loud noises and flickering lights from within the building late at night, however, the authorities have never found any evidence that a single soul has entered the factory since that night. It is still one of the greatest mysteries on the river. What did happen to the overnight shift at the factory? How could more than 15 people just disappear? After the disappearances, no one returned to work and the factory was forced to immediately shut down. Despite intense investigations, there were no signs of foul play and the bodies of the workers were never found. The other mystery of that night was the absentee foreman. The Foreman ran the Graveyard Shift much like a military platoon and he had never been known to miss a single day of work. He would even work on weekends and holidays to maintain the machines or sharpen the tools. The Foreman had no family
