There are several ways to change the appearance of teeth, the simplest being simple tooth wax and the most complicated being a prosthetic that fits over existing teeth. We also carry plastic human teeth for use in fake heads and other props.

Billy Bob Teeth

These styles are full denture, special effect appliances that shape to fit your mouth, over your own teeth, in only five minutes. After you fit your new choppers, they will slip in easily and stay on without additional adhesive! Each set of Billy Bob Teeth is handmade of high quality, acrylic denture material with realistic, detailed teeth and gums for the most convincing effect possible.

These teeth are great for instant personality for costumes and in-person presentations but are not recommended for principle characters in motion picture work because they interfere with speech. For those applications, Special Effect Supply carries movie quality vampire tooth caps as well as a great new video on how to make your own custom fit character teeth.

How they work:

Each set of Billy Bob dental appliances comes with a small kit of two-part dental putty. You simply mix these two parts together, put this into the teeth and push this over your existing teeth and wait 5 minutes. In 5 minutes you can remove your appliance or keep it in. When you remove it can be replaced without any additional materials, the suction that comes from this custom fit keeps them in place. They can't be worn by anyone else. A putty refill kit is available if you goof them up.

Tooth Enamel

For theatrical use only. Not for extended wear. Comes in various colors such as white, ivory, gold, nicotine and black.

Makeup for Teeth:

Tooth enamels and tooth EFX for teeths for temporary use only. It comes in a small bottle with a brush. You paint it directly onto your teeth and let it dry. It will last for several hours, but will wear off sooner if you eat, rub or abraid your teeth in any way. Mehron white is an ivory, normal tooth color. Kryolan white is pure white, almost supernatural. Kryolan ivory is a normal tooth shade. You can mix for color matching. Mehron gold looks like gold paint and is not shiney like a gold tooth. Kryolan gold is regular cosmetic grade glitter, it has the shine of glitter, but also the small flakes of glitter as well.

Tooth Black has long been a staple in theatre and film to add just the right dimension to character makeups. Ben Nye Tooth Colors dry quickly and last for hours. Colors remove with toothpaste or rubbing alcohol on swab.

Fang Kits

Plastic tooth caps that you custom-fit to your eyeteeth. We carry Scarecrow Brand which has a little kit of soft dental resin that makes the cap fit your teeth exactly. The caps stay on pretty well depending upon the shape of your teeth. A bit of tooth powder helps secure troublesome caps. The custom fangs set which we carry is definitely movie quality, they are tooth color, have a good shape, and fit very well.

Plastic Human Teeth

These are for use in stand-alone heads and props. Not for use in the human mouth. Anterior (front teeth) sets contain 6 individual teeth. Posterior (back teeth) sets contain 8 individual teeth. Teeth are medium size and medium color (Shade #66). Easily mounted into props with glue gun or on steel posts. Exposed tooth only, nothing below the gum line.

Generic Dental Prosthetics

These are usually soft, pre-made teeth that fit over your teeth. Most have gums and teeth. We no longer carry the Tooth Fairy line of generic teeth.
